The Royal Children’s Hospital (VIC
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 140 years. They are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and their care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a highly skilled and committed staff, they provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people. They are also the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
The Amway One By One Foundation has recently donated $10,000 to the Royal Children’s Hospital (VIC) for a life-saving Vyntus ECG machine. This chair easily reclines for patient comfort and allows staff to safely interact with the child. It also allows some patients with arthritis or cerebral palsy to sit in a chair, correctly positioned, out of the wheelchair, to reduce pain or spasms and prevent pressure ulcers from inappropriate seating.
