Help for children with heart disease

Today, eight babies will be born with a heart defect in Australia - that’s over 3,000 a year! That’s why we are continuing the fight against childhood heart disease through a recent donation of $50,000 to HeartKids Australia.

The donation funded the 2015 Teen Camp in January and an extra day of adventure at the Sydney Aquarium and the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

The Teen Camp is a chance for kids to be kids by enjoying fun activities including archery, flying fox and much more under the watchful eye of dedicated medical staff.

It’s a chance for the kids to have a break from the procedures and doctor’s waiting rooms they face all year round.

Amway’s One by One Campaign for Children has donated a total of $121,200 to help children with childhood heart disease. Previous donations helped fund CoaguChek units for children on anticoagulant therapy (medication to prevent blood clotting).
