Pursuing sustainability through our
business practices

Amway Earth
Amway has a long history of environmental stewardship, going all the way back to our company’s foundation in 1959. We are committed to conducting our business in a way that will protect and preserve our beautiful planet.
Beginning with our very first product, Liquid Organic Cleaner (L.O.C.®) - which was one of the first biodegradable cleaning products on the market - many of our products are environmentally preferred and green.
Since then, Amway has continued to design new products and manage our business around environmentally sound and sustainable principles such as our organic farming practices, waste management and packaging principles, and the use of sustainable and/or recycled resources.
No more plastic bags in our shops
We have replaced them with re-usable bags that are 100% recyclable. This is part of our commitment to protecting the environment and a greener future. We have also replaced our plastic straws with recyclable paper straws across all Amway Business Centres in Australia and New Zealand.

Design for the environment
At Amway, we feel strongly about delivering you better and safer products for your home, family and the environment through our Amway HOME™ brand.
Amway partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2008 to meet their stringent standards in their Design for the Environment (DfE) program, now known as Safer Choice.
The Safer Choice label helps consumers quickly identify products that are recognised for the use of safer and better ingredients without sacrificing quality or performance. There are now more than 40 Amway home care products that are recognised by Safer Choice.
Organic Farming
Amway’s commitment to sustainable farming began decades ago. We believe that farming in accordance with nature is more sustainable and environmentally sound.
We have nearly 6000 acres of certified organic farmland. Today, many plant-based botanical ingredients are grown on Amway farms in accordance with their unique geographical needs.
NUTRIWAY® is part of the only global vitamin and mineral brand to grow, harvest and process plants on their own certified organic farms*.

Recycling
We strongly support the use of sustainable packaging with 95% of our product packaging in Australia and New Zealand being readily recyclable. As a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation, we are dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our packaging and received a score of 3/5 on our latest assessment.
